Two persons were detained by Nagaland Police for Fraudulent Registration in Financial Aid extended to citizens of Nagaland stranded outside the state. It is to be informed that the Government of Nagaland has announced a special package under which Citizens of Nagaland who are stranded outside the state can avail financial assistance by registering in the “iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in” web portal.
Upon a complaint received from the Principal Director, School Education, it was found that two persons who are presently residing at Kohima had fraudulently registered in the web portal to avail the Financial Aid which is meant only for Nagas stranded outside the state. The accused were summoned to Cyber Crime PS and later released on Personal Bond.
Nagaland Police has further cautioned the public not to use fraudulent means to avail any packages offered by the Government in this Covid-19 pandemic and such acts will be liable for Penal actions as per the provisions of law.
