An emergency Peren DTF on COVID-19 meeting was called by ADC Jalukie Dr Tinojongshi Chang, NCS on 17th July, 2020 at COVID Control Room, Peren on receipt of the RT PCR and TrueNat reports for 17th July, 2020.

DTO, Dr. Supongmenla Walling, briefed the house on the results of the testing conducted on the Front-Line Workers in which she stated on 15th July, 2020 there were two TrueNat Positive result on those Non-Healthcare Frontline Workers and after doing an immediate contact tracing, samples were sent for confirmation. She also said results received on 17th July, 2020 showed that one among the TrueNat positive was negative while the other needed re-testing and 1 contact was confirmed as COVID Positive by RT PCR. The positive case was thereby shifted to the COVID Hospital. Dr. Supongmenla also apprised the house that, further testing of contacts has shown that there are 8 TrueNat positives: 4 from cooking team, 2 from security personnel, one driver and one from Containment zone duty.

In the meeting, the DTF members adopted the following agendas:

1)     Immediate shifting and segregation of the TrueNat Positives have to be done.

2)     ICMR confirmation testing as well as contact tracing shall be done. Cooking team tracing back to last 1 week of duty to be done.

3)     The FLW including the Cooking and Catering team should not leave their duty station till further directives.

4)     Matters relating to Lock Down shall be discussed after Confirmatory results only.

5)     In case of high Positives among the FLWs, the JAC Peren shall support the Contact tracing team with additional manpower.

6)     All Sub-Divisional Task Force and Sub-Divisional RRT in Peren District shall be activated.

7)     Sample Collection timing to be fixed after proper discussion with all stakeholders. Tentative timing shall be between 10 am to 1 pm.
