The Joint Secretary for Home Department, Hiazu Meru issued the report on COVID-19 lock down for Nagaland as on 12th June 2020 and stated that there was no violation of the lock down nor incidents of law & order in the State.

The report on essential goods stated that shops for food grains and groceries and also milk shops remain opened in all the districts except Mokokchung. Medicine shops continue to remain open in all the districts while maintaining that there was no shortage of essential goods in the State.

It also informed that the movement of essential service providers like electricity/telecom facilities/medical facilities and personnel/workers in manufacturing units and commercial vehicles for distribution of essential goods was not restricted. The movement of e-commerce agents was also allowed without any hindrance.

In regard to the arrangements been made for providing food & shelter to effected migrant workers, it disclosed that the same arrangement is being continued and added that there is 1(one) active relief camp and 1(one) food.
