Home Department of the Nagaland State Government issued the daily report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services in the State for the 23th of April, 2020. The report informed that 8 violations of the lockdown were reported. 1(one) person was arrested, 14 (Fourteen) persons were bound down and 1(One) FIR case was registered. However, no Law and Order incident has been reported in any part of the State.
Abhijit Sinha, Principal Secretary, Home, while issuing the report informed that groceries and other food shops including milk shops were open in all the districts. Medicinal shops remain opened in all the districts of the State. No shortage of food grains, groceries milk or medicines have been reported in any part of the State.
According to the report, no restriction was imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers. The report also stated that suitable arrangements have been made in Dimapur and Kohima for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions. In this regard, 4 (Four) relief camps are functioning where 433 (Four Hundred and Thirty Three) migrant labourers are housed and 2 (Two) active food camps have been set up. Also, more than 4,000 (Four Thousand) daily wagers and needy migrant workers were provided food and dry ration.
