Kohima College, Kohima organised a retirement celebration honouring its Principal, Dr. Ralimongla on 29th July 2022 in recognition of her selfless dedication towards the college.

Dr. Ralimongla joined the college as Principal on 9th July 2019. Her tenure saw the successful completion of the college commerce block, digitisation of library, upgradation and extension of language lab, inauguration of alumni office, renovation of IQAC office and many more.

In her speech, Dr. Ralimongla expressed her gratitude to the college, faculty & staff for their support and cooperation especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, and shared glimpses of her experiences in the college stating that she had gained professional and personal growth in knowledge, wisdom and friendship. Dr. Ralimongla acknowledged the Minister, Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Director, Dept. of Higher Education and Commissioner & Secretary, Higher Education for having the confidence in her and promoting her to Principal in 2019 after her teaching service at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.

Vice Principal, Keneilesa Neikha on behalf of the college acknowledged and expressed his appreciation on behalf of the college for the sacrifices and services rendered by Dr. Ralimongla during her tenure as the Principal of the college.

Short speeches were also delivered by Mhaliezolie Kire, President, Kohima College Teachers Association (KCTA), Victor on behalf of the ministerial staff of KCK, Kossam Konyak on behalf of the Kohima College Students Council (KCSC), and by other faculty and staff members.

HoD, Dept. of English, Megovono Usou, chaired the program while special numbers were performed by Lily Angami, HoD, Dept. of Economics and KCSC member Lhousazolie Zumu.
