A marathon race, in commemoration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was conducted at Tuensang on 30th April 2022.  The race was jointly organized by the District Adminstration and District Sports office which started from clock tower to 3rd NAP (RP) gate junction.

A total of 41 participants took part in the race which was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant. Puto S came as first while Khongo and Yongkong Yemba won the second and third place respectively. M Sentinaome was the first among the females to reach the finish line.
