Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS has informed all concern that, in view of the forthcoming General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, it was brought to the notice of all concerned that declaration of village/Area/Range consensus candidates by various organisations/village council/Range organisations is violative of various election related laws and offence under the Indian Penal Code.

In view of the upcoming general elections to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, Deputy Commissioner (DC) & District Election Officer (DEO) Tuensang, Nokchasashi has informed all concerned to conduct physical verification of all arms and ammunition being held by the licensees in the Tuensang district per the rules 30 and 112 of the arms rules, 2016.

The video conference was chaired by Deputy Election Commissioner, ECI Ajay Bhadoo. It was a preliminary review of the preparedness of various Law Enforcement Agencies for Election Monitoring.

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has issued the Scheme Guidelines on the "Scheme of Financial Assistance for administering Road Safety Advocacy and awards for the outstanding work done in the field of Road Safety" vide letter No. RT-25035/38/2021-RS (196434) Dated 21st September 2021, which shall remain in operation till 31.03.2026.
