As part of the year-long Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh celebrations from 15th November 2024 to 15th November 2025, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched a Nationwide Awareness and Benefit Saturation Campaign from 15th to 30th June 2025. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan and extend the benefits of various central and state welfare schemes to tribal populations across the country.
In line with this, the Awareness & Benefit Saturation Camp was successfully conducted at the Old ADC Office, Pughoboto, on 30th June 2025. The event was organized under the supervision of EAC Pughoboto, Er. Keyileuteing Ndang, and covered multiple villages including Ghokimi, Natsumi, Pughoboto, Mishilimi, Lazami, Kichilimi, Shesulimi, Chishilimi, Chisholimi, Kilomi, Gathashi, Hebolimi and Ighanumi.
Various government departments collaborated to provide a wide range of services with District Administration facilitating Aadhaar enrollment and issued ST/IIC & PRC forms, Medical Department carrying out enrolments under Ayushman Bharat, Mission Indradhanush, and other immunization drives, Agriculture Department providing enrolment support for PM-KISAN and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) schemes, Rural Development Department undertaking registrations for MGNREGA job cards, Social Welfare Department assisting with IGNOAPS (Old Age Pension), PMMVY (Maternity Benefit), and nutrition support schemes, and Food & Civil Supplies Department registering eligible individuals under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) for ration cards. SBI Pughoboto also played a crucial role in promoting financial literacy and facilitating enrolments under schemes like PMJJBY (Life Insurance), Jan-Dhan Accounts, and PM-JAY (Health Insurance).
The camp saw active participation from local residents across the 13 villages, ensuring grassroots-level outreach. The initiative brought essential services to remote and tribal areas, bridging gaps in awareness and accessibility.
