Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tening, Rhosietho Nguori has issued an order for indigenous people/ locals stranded in other districts within Nagaland and desiring to return home town/ villages, for three days, with effect from 7th – 9th May, 2020.

The movement of people would follow the guidelines as per laid down protocols:

1. Stranded and in distress persons local/indigenous wanting to travel in their private vehicle (s) will be allowed after obtaining travel permit from “facilitation cell”/District Control Room Jalukie @ Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalukie, after necessary authorisation from the office.

2.The movement regime is permitted for local/indigenous people for inter- district travel only and having ‘permanent residence/address in Nagaland’. As per directive, free NST bus will be provided for transportation to those who cannot avail private transport.

3. Special care to be ensured while travelling: all travellers to wear masks and observe social distancing measures as laid down by the Government from time to time.

In another notification, the ADC directed all shops and business establishments under Tening Sub- division to keep open from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all business days effective immediately till further order.

The order has directed that all shop owners must ensure that there is no overcrowding of people at any time and facilitate hand washing kiosks/sanitations. Use of face mask is mandatory in public places at all the times.
