The Phek District Planning & Development Board during the monthly DPDB meeting discussed finalization of schemes under Local Area Development Programme, (LADP) 2024-25 held at DPDB Hall, Phek on 12th July 2024.
Various schemes made in all five Assembly Constituencies in Phek district were highlighted by the Advisor for New & Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority and Chairman, DPDB Phek, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe which were deliberated and approved by the house.
Departmental activities were presented by the department of Art & Cultural and the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship by DCO, Phek Zhosa Sapu and District Employment Officer respectively.
District Sports Officer, Phek, Wutsutho put up the proposal for the prestigious 34th Nagaland Taekwondo Championship 2024 to be hosted at Phek by the Phek District Taekwondo Association, for which DSO (Sports) Phek requested the legislators and heads of offices in the district for assistance.
During the meeting, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs, K.G Kenye appreciated DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam and other board members for their co-operation in the successful conduct of the Lok Sabha election and the ULB/Town Council elections in the district.
Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDB Phek, John Tsulise during the meeting reminded the heads of offices and officers to be regular in their respective posting places.
