The COVID-19 report on Law & Order issued by the Joint Secretary, Home, Hiazu Meru stated that here has been no violation of the lock down and added that no incidents of law & order has been reported in the State as on the 31st of May 2020.

On essential goods, the report said that shops for food grains and groceries and milk remained opened in all of the districts except Longleng, Mokokchung and Wokha. It also added that medicine shops remain opened in all the districts except Longleng. The report further said that there has been no shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine in any part of the State.

Further, the report stated that no restrictions have been imposed on the movement of essential service providers like electricity/telecom facilities/medical facilities etc. and also the movement of personnel or workers in manufacturing units and commercial vehicles and e-commerce agents for distribution of essential commodities have not been restricted as stated.

Meanwhile, it has been disclosed that suitable arrangements have been made for providing food & shelter to effected migrant workers by COVID-19 restrictions continue to function adding that there is 1(one) active relief camp and 2(two) active food camps that are functioning in the State.
