The District Administration, Zunheboto in collaboration with Emporium Skills Training Institute held a Symposium on Career Guidance at Town Hall, Zunheboto on 17th August 2024.
SDO Zunheboto, Sukhalu Chishi, while delivering the opening remarks exhorted the attendees to learn to be self-disciplined and wholeheartedly persistent for our goals to materialize, to aim for higher targets and to make carrier out of any given opportunities and utilisation of every sources.
Further EAC, Zunheboto, Chinglem Konyak, who Chaired the programme, stressed that not every educated person can be accommodated to government jobs, which is absolutely impossible, he added. Blessings through employment could be waiting elsewhere and this particular event could be that initiative, he followed. And Konyak appealed upon the attendees to make the best out of the seminar.
First of the two Resource Persons, Operations Manager cum Overseas Placement Executive, Allin Awomi, beginning her topic, expressed her pleasure seeing the hordes of employment seeking students from Zunheboto, which actually was hunger to be self-reliant and getting oneself employed with respectable jobs serving home and abroad. Awomi continued with the intro by detailing that the institute offers a two months training with possible job placements abroad and home prioritising five-star establishments after completion of the training. Later, she stated that the Emporium institute has been enthusiastic regarding Zunheboto district to reciprocate the enthusiasm the young enthusiasts have shown in the past few years. She further briefed on her topic of interest, (Aviation Industry) over which, Awomi detailed about the Attributes on Eligibility (cabin crew eligibility/ground staff eligibility) and Overseas Placements with Salary.
She ended with a point which she regarded as an attractive and most important of services which was the Student Welfare Services.
The second Resource Person, Business Development Executive cum Hospitality Trainer, Imsumeren Imsong highlighted on Hospitality Industry, talking on Attributes on Eligibility Criterias, Benefits, Salary Packages, success stories of the employed, facility of women PGs etc.
All together there were 158 registered attendees, along with members from student bodies and officers from District Administration. In culmination, a vote of thanks was delivered by President ZRSU, Vicky K. Zhimo.
