The IEC Campaign on Dharti Aaba Janjatiya gram utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JUGA) was initiated at the ADC office complex in Mangkolemba on the 16th of November, 2024. The launch of the campaign was overseen by Hotolu Sema, the SDO (C) alongside officials from various departments, Town Councilors, Dobashis, GBs, and representatives from different organizations.

In his address, Hotolu Sema, SDO (C) of Mangkolemba mentioned that the scheme is set to be implemented in six villages within Mangkolemba subdivision, namely Molungkimong, Yimchenkimong, Waromong, Debuia, Khar, and Changki. Emphasising on addressing the requirements of tribal communities, he expressed confidence that this initiative will result in extensive and all-encompassing progress in the region.

He also detailed a range of interventions to be implemented by the various departments with the goal of improving coordination and alignment of government projects.

DA-JUGA is dedicated to the all-encompassing growth of tribal areas and communities through the filling of crucial gaps in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood. Nagaland has been chosen as one of the 30 states and Union territories to carry out this initiative, benefiting 608 villages within the state.
