The Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) felicitated the 12th HSLC ExaminationTopper 2020, Md. Zaheer-Ul-Alam who secured the top position from amongst the Government School under Kohima district at DPDB's Conference Hall, Kohima on 10th June 2020. 

Advisor, Urban Development, Municipal Affairs & Smart City, Dr.Neikiesalie Nicky Kire speaking on the occasion congratulated Md. Zaheer-Ul-Alam for achieving the top position amongst the Government Schools, which he said was the first and most important step to achieve in one's academic career. He encouraged Zaheer to maintain and remember the three 'Ds', Dedication, Determination and Devotion in his studies, without which one cannot achieve his/her goal and further wished him all the very best in his future endeavours. Dr. Nicky also added that every parents, teachers and students has equal important roles and responsibilities to play towards achieving one's goal in life, he therefore reminded everyone to rededicate oneself in their respective areas to achieve greater heights in days to come. 

The felicitation programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS who also delivered the welcome address. Short speeches were also delivered by the father of Md. Zaheer-Ul-Alam, Headmaster of Government High School New Market, Kohima and District Education Officer, Kohima, Pelhouvolie who also proposed the vote of thanks.
