Addl. Deputy Commissioner & Administrator, Longleng Town Council has issued an order reiterating the Prohibition of Employment of Manual Scavengers for cleaning of severs and septic tanks with immediate effect as per the Prohibition of Employment of Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Rules 2013. 

Therefore, the contractors have been further directed to ensure strict compliance to the provisions and Rehabilitation of Employment of Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Rules 2013. 

Timely inspection shall be carried out in this regard and defaulters penalized as per relevant provisions of law the order stated.
