“As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 916. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres.
Out of the 916 positive cases, the total active cases are 525, and 391 have recovered. As per the severity of symptoms, 524 active cases are asymptomatic and 1 active case is mild.
Till date, a total of 17,336 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR. Results of 17,088 samples have been received. Out of the 17,336 samples, a total of 11,009 samples have been sent to BSL-3 Lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) for testing and a total of 10,911 samples have been tested, out of which 567 samples have tested positive. In addition, a total of 11,299 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat. 10,571 samples have tested negative, and 347 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR.
A total of 2,932 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
The Department of Health & Family Welfare in addition to the existing ventilators in the State has installed 45 more new stand alone ventilators in the 11 District Hospitals. This addition will help further in tackling the COVID-19 Pandemic the State.”
