Chairman NBSE, Asano Sekhose has informed that in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the felicitation function for the rank holders of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2020 will not be held this year and necessary arrangements will be made to transfer the cash awards to the bank accounts of the 4(four) Toppers and Achievers in MILs & Skill Education subjects.

The Governor, R.N. Ravi has conveyed his heartiest congratulations to the toppers, rank holders and achievers of the HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2020 conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education.

The Governor of Nagaland has also announced the following awards from next year onwards:

1.  Top 3 meritorious students from Government Schools in HSLC will be awarded Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- in order  of merit along with certificate.

2.  Similarly Top 3 meritorious students from Government Higher Secondary Schools in all three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce will be awarded Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/-  and Rs. 10,000/-  in order of merit along with certificate.

3.  Cash award of Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- each to toppers of HSLC & HSSLC (all three streams) for students who are indigenous inhabitants belonging to Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire and appearing examinations from the centres of these four districts.

Further, it is also to inform that the Governor’s Award for Achievers in MILs and Skill Education subjects in HSLC & HSSLC Examinations from the existing amount of Rs. 3000/- have been enhanced to Rs. 5000/- from this year onwards.
