1.          The State Government reiterates that the Office Memorandum (OM) dated 7th July, 2020 relating to furnishing of self declaration form by State Government Employees’ with respect to family members and relatives in underground organizations was issued on the direction of the Honorable Governor.

2.          As stated in the State Government’s Clarification dated 22nd July, 2020, the letter of this direction was sent to the Chief Secretary from the Commissioner & Secretary to Governor on 14th February, 2020 asking for the information to be furnished by 2nd April, 2020. A reminder letter was received from the Governor’s office on 24th June, 2020 requesting to furnish the information urgently for the perusal of the Governor.

3.          It is further clarified that the term “underground organisations” used in the OM dated 7th July, 2020 is as was conveyed by the Raj Bhavan. The State Government had used the term “Naga political organizations” in its press release dated 22nd July, 2020.
