The award recipients of Governor’s Gold Medal and Governor’s Commendation Certificate were announced on the occasion of Independence Day function at Parade Ground, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on 15th August 2020.

            Principal Director, Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, Shanavas C, IAS; Havildar, DEF, Dimapur, S. Khetoshe Sumi and Rattle & Hum Music Society (RHMS), NGO, Kohima, Nagaland were selected for the award of Governor’s Gold Medal.

            Assistant Director, Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, B. Nellayappan; DCP Zone-1, Dimapur, Dr. Naieem Mustafa Mansury, IPS and UBSI, DEF, Mokokchung, Imlikokba, were selected for the award of Governor’s Commendation Certificate.

            The Governor’s Gold Medal and Governor’s Commendation Certificate awardees on Independence Day, 2020 could not be awarded due to the COVID-19 pandemic and they will be awarded the medals and certificates on subsequent Republic Day/ Independence Day.
