The 74th Independence Day was celebrated at the North Eastern Council, Shillong with traditional gaiety and national fervor today. The national tri-colour flag was unfurled and hoisted by the Member of the NEC Prof. Biman Kr. Dutta at the NEC’s premises followed up by the National Anthem. Thereafter Prof. Biman Kr. Dutta, AIR Marshal Anjan Kumar Gogoi PVSM AVSM VSM (Retd.), Members of NEC & K. Moses Chalai,IAS Secretary , NEC briefly addressed the gathering while congratulating the staff of the North Eastern Council. All the senior officials and the staff member while factoring in precautions related to the Covid-19 scenario took part in the function.
