The evening programme of the 80th Independence Day celebration at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima was graced by Home Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS.

The evening highlights included an Exhibition Football Match, played between Secretariat United FC and Vanguard FC (Old Boys) which ended in a draw. Band Display and Beating of the Retreat was performed by the 13th Assam Rifles Pipe Band, Nagaland Police Central Brass Band PTS and Nagaland Police Auxiliary Brass Band, 4th NAP Bn.

Home Commissioner & Principal Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS also gave away prizes and honorarium to the top three winners of the Parade Contingents, 13th Assam Rifles Bn. 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Bn. and Ex-Servicemen. Honorariums were also given to players of the exhibition football match and the participating parade contingents.
