Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, Polan John has issued an order to enforce the provisions of Solid Waste Management Rules 2026 and in a major drive to curb river/water bodies pollution originating from Municipal and Solid wastes in the district. It is also informed to all citizens under Chumoukedima district that dumping of solid waste into rivers, streams, open drains or water bodies is strictly prohibited.

Any person found violating the above instructions shall be liable for penal action as per the relevant provisions of the law.
