The District Election Office, Dimapur, informed electors that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would visit the residences of electors who had been issued notices regarding unmapped status or logical discrepancies as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026.

The office stated that BLOs would collect and upload the requisite documents through the BLO App. Electors were advised not to visit the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for hearings.

It stated that hearings would be conducted only in exceptional cases where considered necessary, and the decision would rest with the concerned ERO. Where a hearing was required, it would be conducted online, with the date and time communicated to the concerned elector through the respective BLO at a later stage.

The District Election Office also informed that an adult member of the family could be authorised by the elector to attend the hearing on their behalf, if required.

All concerned electors are requested to cooperate with the BLOs and provide the requisite documents.
