The District Administration, Chümoukedima, in collaboration with the Department of Power, will organise a Seva Setu Camp from October 14 to 16, 2026, at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex, Chümoukedima, to facilitate the implementation of rooftop solar installations under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
The camp aims to assist eligible residential households with on-the-spot sensitisation, registration and application processing for rooftop solar installations. Under the scheme, eligible households can avail combined Central and State subsidies for installations of up to 3 kW, along with free smart prepaid meters and access to collateral-free bank loans.
The camp will begin at 10:00 AM onwards and provide facilities including spot registration through the National Scheme Portal, consultations with empanelled solar vendors, assistance with bank loan applications and technical guidance from Power Department officials.
Applicants have been advised to bring the original documents and photocopies of their latest electricity bill, proof of identity, proof of ownership or landownership documents for the residential roof space, bank passbook and two passport-sized photographs. The District Administration has urged eligible residents to participate in the camp and take advantage of the scheme to reduce their electricity bills.
