Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified the restriction on Inter-district and Intra-district for private/commercial passengers vehicles has been lifted on 1st September 2020 subject to strict compliance of the "Consolidated Guidelines" with immediate effect. All the guidelines for safety practices in high risk setting to prevent transmission of COVID-19 for commercial passengers vehicles/taxi as specified in annexure-1(B) shall be strictly adhere to all concerned.
All trucks/Goods transport vehicles drivers/attendants shall be observed and crew members shall be screened for fever by thermal scanners at the points of entry. No passengers shall be allowed to travel in any of the goods trucks. All crew members shall mandatorily wear mask and wash hand frequently with soap & water and hand sanitizers. All crew members shall remain inside the vehicles and shall not mingle with anyone during loading/unloading of consignment after the completion of the loading/unloading of the consignment, the truck shall be required to proceed towards its designation immediately. Local transports required to stay back must remain in home isolation and observed safety measures. District task force will be facilitated availability of adequate hand washing facilities at all check points.
All commercial passengers vehicles should mandatorily maintain daily log book of the travelers with details and limitation on the number of passengers will be as per the existing of state guidelines for lockdown measures. Any person/group acting in violation of the order shall be deemed as offence punishable under section 188 of the IPC in addition to section 51to 60 of disaster management act 2005 and other applicable legal provisions.
