District Level Convergence Committee for POSHAN held a meeting at DC Conference Hall Tuensang on 11th September 2020. The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant Deputy Commissioner Tuensang.

The meeting discussed on POSHAN MAAH 2020 District Action plans as follows : 14th of September Local leaders and NGOs meeting which will be focusing on removal of stigma with regard to COVID 19, obtaining pledges/assures for practices of good nutrition, support of POSHAN Abhiyaan/ICDS/SW and support of Kitchen Garden.

17th September basing on the theme ‘Nutrition’ there will be a cooking competition where preparation of nutritious food from locally available fruits and vegetables and documentation of winning recipe. 21st mothers meeting, 25th cleanliness drive and 28th a programme on adolescent girls.

DC Tuensang said that every converging department should take a responsible role to make things happen in reality. The meeting also agreed to have an anemia camp throughout the district and to focus on implementing the nutri garden as the theme of the POSHAN states.
