The Department of Tourism, Nagaland has informed that World Tourism Day will be organized live with the theme ‘The Emerging Delightful Destination’ from 27th to 30th September 2020. The North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) organises the annual event- ‘Destination North-East’ in different cities outside North Eastern Region (NER) with the objective of promoting and showcasing the rich heritages and opportunities of NER.

            In view of the prevailing pandemic the Destination North East, 2020 will be organised through NIC/VC platform. It will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on 27th September 2020 between 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, coinciding with the World Tourism Day. The year’s event will showcase and focus on attractive tourist destinations and rich heritage of North Eastern Region (NER).
