Commissioner & Secretary, NLA, Dr. P.J. Antony has informed that Toshi Wungtung, Member of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, elected from 58 - Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency, who was holding the charge of Advisor for the Departments of Information & Public Relations, SCERT and the Village Guards, passed away on 1stJuly, 2021 in New Delhi.

He informed that consequent upon his demise, the 58-Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency seat has become vacant with effect from 3rd July, 2021.
