The National Cadets Corps (NCC) activities involve multiplicity of responsibilities between the Central Government, the Education Department, the State Governments and the NCC.

It has been brought to the notice of University Grants Commission (UGC) that cadets were involved in preparation/ training camps for Republic Day Camp during November/ December each year. The NCC Cadets/ volunteers were facing problems for selfless services rendered by them and virtue of which they miss their semester classes.

According to the notification issued by Secretary of UGC, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Prof. Rajnish Jain vide D.O.No.14-10/ 2016 (CPP-II) dated 30th November 2021 an advisory for special examination to be conducted on separate dates for NCC cadets and not as candidates appearing for re-test.

The UGC directed all the higher educational institutions to take appropriate action for holding separate examination for NCC Cadets so that they may not face problems for missing their semester exams.
