“Good Evening

As of 3:00 PM today, a total of 543 samples have been sent for testing, out of which 6 samples were sent today from the State. Results of 481 samples have been received and all are negative, and results of 62 samples are awaited. Today a total of 1452 persons have been screened. A total of 120 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

In regard to Contact Tracing and tracking in connection with the COVID-19 positive person from Dimapur detected in Guwahati; as of 21st April 2020, the Surveillance teams have covered 834 households and 4755 persons screened. So far, all samples sent from Dimapur in connection with the positive case have tested negative.

I would like to inform that for the convenience of the public, the Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has partnered with the Department of Health & Family for providing OPD services in Kohima and Dimapur, in the backdrop of the District Hospitals being converted to COVID Hospital. Depending on the availability of volunteers, similar arrangements will be expanded to other locations and Districts.  This service is in addition to the arrangement of specialist consultation in Urban Primary Health Centres being provided by the Government Doctors. Meanwhile routine services will continue in all other non-COVID health Centres and PMJAY services in empanelled private hospitals so that the normal Health delivery is not affected.

On the availability of food grains, medicines, POL and other essential goods and commodities in various districts of the state, the position remains normal.

I would like to inform that relief camps and shelters have been set up by the District Administration for the stranded migrants in the State. Food and dry rations are also being distributed to the daily wagers and needy persons by the District Administration and NGOs.

We are in the 29th day of the COVID-19 lockdown and I would like to appeal to everyone for continued support and cooperation to all the lockdown measures.”

THANK YOU
