Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha IAS has issued on Law & Order report on COVID-19 as on 30th April 2020 has state that 18 persons have been found violating the Lock down process. The Remedial steps were also taken against the violations meanwhile one FIR was registered under 384 IPC R/W section 51 NDM Act 2005, and 31 persons were bound down. During the remedial steps taken N0 of 75 Vehicles were seized and a fine of Rs, 15.000 were imposed under MVA Act.
The report further stated that, all shops for food grains & Groceries and milk shops opened in all the districts except Wokha. Medicine shops were also opened in all the districts. Regarding Essential Services, Manufacturing, Distribution & E-Commerce, the Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha stated that, there were no restriction on movement of personnel/workers respectively. He stated that, there were no restrictions on movement of Commercial Vehicles for distribution of Essential Commodities & commerce agents in the state. Suitable arrangements have been made for providing food & shelter to migrant workers affected by COVID-19 restrictions meanwhile from 4 active Relief Camps about 469 migrant Labourers are housed and 1700 daily wagers/ needy persons were provided food & dry ration.
