“As on today, a total of 664samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 650samples have been received and all are negative. Results for 14samples are awaited. Today, a total of 1776 persons have been screened and a total of 29 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
Today, Shri S. Pangnyu Phom, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Government of Nagaland inaugurated the TrueNat Machine for preliminary screening of samples at District Hospital, Mokokchung. The TrueNat Machines have been received from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI for the districts of Mokokchung and Mon. The Hon’ble Minister also visited the COVID Hospital at Mokokchung.
I would like to inform that up till now, the number of people of Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, due to the Nationwide COVID-19 lockdown who have been given cash assistance has risen to 13,962, comprising of 10,298working people, 3,510 students and 154 patients. The total amount disbursed is Rs. 5.48 Crores.
As we enter the 38th day of the lockdown, I convey my appreciation to everyone for their continued cooperation and support to the lockdown measures across the State. We may all kindly note that strict adherence to the lockdown provisions is crucial in preventing and containing the spread of the virus.
