The Principal Director School Education, Shanavas C, IAS has informed that many people with vested interest are applying for scholarship under fictitious name which is a serious crime. Therefore, the Department of School Education once again requested the Institute Nodal Officer's to be cautious while verifying the student's application form and the INO's responsible for the 1stlevel verification are required to maintain copies of supporting documents prescribed by the Ministry year-wise and produce the physical record to the DNO/SNO as and when required. The INO's will maintain the records separately for the applicants under fresh and renewal categories respectively and the records will be retained by the school for at least 5 years. The INO's must not share the USER ID and PASSWORD of the institute with anyone and surrender them to the head of institute when they leave school- The head of institutes must also make sure that the INO appointed are regular employee of the school

All the applications already verified as on date this year will be sent back to the respective NO's with the direction that they should be re-verified on the basis on the documents submitted by the applicant and cross checked with the school record. In case a student has not submitted any document or has not submitted the required number of documents- the INO may "mark the app ration as 'defective' so as to provide another opportunity to the genuine applicant to rectify the mistake.
