AN OVERVIEW OF THE RESULTS OF HSLC & HSSLC EXAMINATIONS 2021
The HSLC Examination 2021 commenced from 7th April 2021 and concluded on 21st April 2021 and the HSSLC Examination 2021 commenced from 6th April 2021 and concluded on 29th April 2021. In HSLC, a total of 23,608 candidates were enrolled and in the HSSLC a total of 16,834 were enrolled for the examination. 745 candidates were enrolled for HSLC Compartmental Examination 2021 and 461 qualified the examination with a pass percentage of 61.88%.
A. HSLC Examination 2021:
Out of 23608 candidates, a total of 16388 candidates qualified the examination with a qualified percentage of 69.42%.

The girls have again done better with 8719 girls qualifying and 7669 boys qualifying the examination. In the Top 20 list, there are 82 candidates out of which 24 are boys and the rest i.e. 58 are girls.
120 schools secured 100% qualified/pass percentage. Out of 120, 95 are private schools and 25 are government schools. This year, 23 schools have zero/nil result out of which all are government schools.

In terms of district wise performance for government schools, Mokokchung district topped the table with a percentage of 64% followed by Peren and Phek districts at 60%. Kiphire district is at the bottom with 10%.
In respect of private schools, Noklak district is at the top with a percentage of 95% followed by Mokokchung at 91%.
The number of candidates who secured 80% and above in aggregate is 1732. Out of 1732, 20 candidates are from government schools.
B. HSSLC Examination 2021:
5(five) institutions under Arts stream, 7(seven) institution under Science stream and 3(three) institutions under Commerce stream secured 100% pass result.

The overall percentage in Arts stream is 69.37%, Commerce stream is 74.39% and Science stream is 91.35%

It is heartening to mention that there are 3(three) toppers from Government Higher Secondary Schools in the Merit list at the HSSLC Examination 2021.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2021 was conducted taking all necessary measures and observing all SOPs issued by the Government. Some students were tested COVID positive and so a re-examination was conducted from 22nd June 2021 to 25th June 2021, for these students who could not appear in some or all the subjects. The results could be declared along with the main results with the active cooperation of all the schools and teachers.
