International Day of the Girl Child 2020 organised by district Administration & DLCW- Mahila Shakti kendra (BBBP) Phek Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was celebrated at Phek on 11th October at DC Chamber with the theme “My Voice , Our Equal Future”. The programme was chaired by Bhavani Sri IAS, SDO (C) and Nodal Officer BBBP Phek.

Highlights included releasing of Musical video Oh Hi Hey Nagas United for Women Empowerment and BBBP magazine by Sachin Jaiswal IAS, DC Phek, declaration of Phek District Icon BBBP, Jessica Snock by Bhavani Sri IAS, SDO (C) and Nodal Officer BBBP Phek. Distribution of Baby Gift hampers to the new born baby girls in celebration of Girl child birth was also held at District Hospital Phek.
