Commemorating 75 years of Indian Independence, (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) a rally was flagged off by SDO (C) Dimapur, Hotolu Sema from Airport Junction, 3rd Mile, Dimapur and culminated at Agri Expo, Dimapur on Friday 13th August 2021.

In his brief note before flagging off the rally, Hotolu reminded everyone to remember the freedom fighters who sacrificed for the country. “Let us uphold the spirit of patriotism and unity and as we join with the rest of the country in celebrating the special occasion, let us be a beacon of light and hope for our country," he maintained. While lauding the participants for their enthusiasm, Sema also advised them to follow the basic SOPs for the safety of oneself and others reminding them that we are in the midst of a pandemic.

The rally was organised by DSO, Dimapur in collaboration with district administrtion and volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dimapur.
