On 29th July 2023, Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse inaugurated the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Centre at Pfutsero Cluster. The commissioning of the Centre was met with appreciation from Kruse, who thanked the Chakhesang Women Welfare Society for inviting her to be a part of this significant occasion.

During the inauguration, Kruse highlighted the Centre's importance as a milestone achievement that would propel society toward greater success in the future. She commended society's commitment to innovation, growth, and the pursuit of excellence in meeting the evolving needs of the people. Kruse also acknowledged the numerous achievements made in areas like health, education, livelihood enhancement, promotion of traditional crafts and textiles, as well as the conservation of traditions and heritage since the Centre's inception.

Furthermore, Kruse praised the government, led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, for emphasizing sustainable livelihood programs in agricultural and horticultural sectors. She appreciated the society's partnership with both governmental and non-governmental agencies, which have been working tirelessly for the upliftment of women and society at large. Kruse expressed her delight in witnessing the exceptional progress of CWWS (Chakhesang Women Welfare Society), which serves as an inspiration to Naga women.

Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA 16 AC Pfutsero, also delivered a speech, emphasizing Pfutsero's rapid development as one of the fastest-growing towns in Nagaland. He highlighted the town's conducive cold and calm climatic conditions and the strength derived from its rich cultural traditions and customs. Dr. Mero shared his dream of making Pfutsero the largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the state, drawing inspiration from China, the world's largest producer of such commodities.

The program was organized with the coordination of Wekotso-u Kapfo, the program coordinator of CWWS. Various dignitaries delivered speeches and blessings during the event, including Nezelu Nyekha, Executive Director of CWWS, Rev. Dr. Chekroveyi Cho-o, the Executive Secretary of CBCC, and Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, DC Phek and others.
