In connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026, announced by the Election Commission of India, a meeting-cum-awareness programme will be held on August 12, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kohima.

The meeting is being organised to create awareness and facilitate greater participation and cooperation among political parties, tribal bodies and other stakeholders in the electoral roll revision process.

Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has requested the Presidents and General Secretaries of all recognised political parties in the Kohima Unit/Division to attend the meeting.

The President and General Secretary of the Angami Public Organization, two representatives each from all Kohima-based Tribal Hohos, and one representative each from the Hindu Kalyan Samithi, Kohima Masjid Committee and Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) have also been requested to attend the programme.
