In pursuance of the decision of the Cabinet in its meeting held on l0th August 2021, a meeting with the Tribal Hohos is being convened on 18th August, 2021 (Wednesday) at 10:30 AM, for holding consultations on the following subjects:

a)      Mediation between Zeliang and Sumi tribes regarding boundary demarcation of Peren and Dimapur districts

b)      Women reservation in ULBs

c)      Naga Tribunals for adjudication as per Naga Customary Law

d)     Issue of appointment of Gaon Buras (GBs) in urban areas

The Chief Minister, Nagaland, the Deputy Chief Minister Nagaland, the Speaker, NLA, the Ministers and the Advisors, along with the Chief Secretary, Nagaland and other senior officials will be present in the meeting.

The following have been requested to attend the meeting:

1. The President, Angami Public Organization, Kohima and two representatives.

2. The President, AoSenden, Mokokchung and two representatives.

3. The President, Chakhesang Public Organization, Phek and two representatives.

4. The President, Chang Khulei Setsang, Tuensang and two representatives.

5. The President, Konyak Union, Mon and two representatives.

6. The President, Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Noklak and two representatives.

7. The President, Lotha Hoho, Wokha and two representatives.

8. The President, Phom People Council, Longleng and two representatives.

9. The President, Pochury Hoho, Meluri and two representatives.

10. The President, Rengma Hoho, Tseminyu and two representatives.

11. The President, Sumi Hoho, Zunheboto and two representatives.

12. The President, United Sangtam Likhurn Pumji, Kiphire and two representatives.

13. The President, Yimchunger Tribal Council, Shamator and two representatives.

14. The President, Zeliang Peoples Organization, Peren and two representatives.

The venue of the meeting will be the State Banquet Hall, Kohima, Chief Minister's Residential Complex, Kohima.
