DDMA, Niuland organized the NEPEx at Niuland Town on 17th November 2022. Immediately after the siren was alerted, Incident Response Team reported to DEOC, Niuland, after which the Deputy Commissioner & RO activated the IRS. The team quickly set up the ICP led by IC at the Public ground. All units got activated for the response. 

Meanwhile, the rescue operation team from SDRF was pressed into action for the rescue mission. Various rescue operation techniques were displayed at the incident side by the SDRF team & community first responders. The district medical & relief personnel along with an ambulance reached the incident site and transported all the injured persons and dead bodies to the nearby medical & relief camps.

Meanwhile, the two observers witness the entire event of the mock drill and stated that the entire chain of command, SDRF rescue team & medical relief team were so efficient and promptly responded to the situation. However, they suggested that the community first responders team should be more proactive in the real-time disaster scenario. 

Deputy Commissioner Niuland Smti, Sara S Jamir thanked the SDRF team, officers, the public, and all the participants for the successful conduct of the mock drill in the district.
