THREE COVID-19 CASES DETECTED IN NAGALAND

Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Menukhol John announced that Nagaland is no longer in the green zone with the detection of three positive COVID-19 cases in the State. He stated this while addressing the media on 25th May 2020 at the Nagaland Secretariat Conference hall, Kohima.

He stated that two males and one female have tested positive and are returnees from Chennai and are undergoing treatment in the Government centers. Their conditions are stated to be stable. Treatment for the patients have started and active contact tracing have been started with aggressive testing, he said.

He called on the citizens of Nagaland not to stigmatize the patients and to be supportive of the health workers looking after them. The Principal Secretary assured that the Government is doing its best to contain the situation.

Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy stated that the real challenge for the State has begun with the confirmation of the three positive cases. He appealed on behalf of the Government to the people of the State to rise up and show our goodness and cooperation and show our solidarity.
