The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued a traffic advisory following the washing away of the temporary bridge between Jharnapani and Molvom Road due to incessant rainfall and flooding.

According to the advisory, all travellers commuting between Chümoukedima and Jalukie, Peren, and vice versa have been directed to use alternate routes with immediate effect.

For light motor vehicles, commuters have been advised to take either the route from 7th Mile Junction, Chümoukedima to Pimla Village via Shokhuvi Village, or the route from New Chümoukedima (Iron Structure Bridge) to Gaili Village via Ruzaphema Village.

For heavy motor vehicles, the designated alternate route is from Medziphema to Punglwa Village via Sirhi Angami Village and Sochunoma Village.

The advisory came into force with immediate effect on August 5, urging all motorists to strictly follow the designated alternate routes and cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety until normal connectivity is restored.
