Tuensang District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference Hall on 6th of August 2020 after a four months break due to COVID 19 pandemic.
The meeting was chaired by DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS which was conducted following necessary guidelines as prescribed to prevent COVID 19 spreading.
The DPDB forum approved the LADP schemes for seven assembly constituencies for the session 2019 - 2020. It also discussed on the Independence Day celebration and work distribution for the same.
In lieu forthcoming Independence Day the district will be organizing social work on 12th August 2020 where employees will clean up office premises and the wards will be asked to clean up the respective wards.
An agenda on upgradation of Themjen memorial school Kuthur village from class VIII to class IX was also discussed to be forwarded to the Education Department for approval.
The deplorable condition of the National Highway between Mokokchung and Tuensang was also deliberated upon.
