To mark the nationwide celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Kiphire Forest Division, Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and in recognition of the role of tribals in sustainable forest management, the Department under the ambit of Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) organized a one-day sales day for SHGs Anatongre at daily market, Kiphire town on 22nd November 2021 to highlight their income generating activities. Three SHGs participated in the sales day and products like vegetables, wild fruits and handicrafts were sold. Kiphire Forest Division also conducted training for the joint forest management committee (JFMC) under FDA (NAP). For the training the JFMC Kiphire village was selected and they were given hands- on training on “Nursery techniques”. As a follow up action of the training, nursery materials like agro-net, polybags, watering cane and seeds were provided to the JFMC for establishment of nursery at their villages.
