A meeting with the office bearers and representative of the Nagaland In-service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Nagaland and other senior officers at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Kohima on 17th April 2021.
The meeting deliberated on the issue of superannuation age of the doctors and the proposed agitation of NIDA in this matter.
The Chief Secretary reiterated the appeal made on 10th April 2021 to not go ahead with the proposed agitation in view of the present COVID situation in the State and the threat of second wave. The Chief Secretary informed that the Government is actively considering the matter relating to the increase in the superannuation age of the medical doctors, and offered to resolve the matter within a period not exceeding one year.
