The Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, adjourned the House sine die following the successful conclusion of the 8th Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on 27th March 2026.
    NLA Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer expressed sincere gratitude to all the members for their cooperation, constructive deliberations, and active participation throughout the session. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the House in addressing important issues and contributing to the progress and development of the State.
    Longkumer noted that despite various challenges, the Assembly had witnessed meaningful discussions and decisions aimed at advancing Nagaland towards inclusive and sustainable development in line with the nation’s growth.
    He called upon all members to rededicate themselves to the service of the people with commitment and responsibility, so that their contributions would be remembered positively in the years to come.
    The Speaker also extended appreciation to the officers and staff of various departments for their dedicated support and coordination. He further thanked the Nagaland Police, security personnel, medical team, fire and emergency services, and the media fraternity for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the session.
    He also conveyed his appreciation to the Assembly Secretariat, led by the Secretary, for their efficient management and ensuring the orderly proceedings of the House.
