ODD-EVEN SYSTEM TO CONTINUE TILL AUGUST 18

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, on 1st August 2021 issued an ordered stating that the Odd-Even System for movement of private vehicles will continue to be implemented under Kohima Municipal area as per Section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 on all days except Sundays, as mentioned hereunder:

1.         Odd numbered vehicles:-

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, only vehicles with registration number ending with odd numbers (Eg. 1,3,5,7,9) shall be allowed to ply.

2.         Even Numbered vehicles:-

On Tuesdays. Thursdays and Saturdays, only vehicles with registration number ending with even numbers (Eg. 2.4.6,8.0) shall be allowed to ply.

Violation of this restriction Order will be liable to be penalised under Section 177 & 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.

The order shall be implemented with immediate effect and shall remain enforced till 18tb August 2021 for the strict compliance of all concerned.
