MOVEMENT OF 10-WHEELERS & ABOVE RELAXED IN MOKOKCHUNG

Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji, announced the relaxation of movement restrictions for 10-wheelers and above vehicles along NH 702D from Moriani to Dissoi/Tsurang Bridge. The decision was based on the good maintenance and condition of the road under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

UNAPPROVED PRIVATE AGENCY CHARGING EXORBITANT FEES FOR NBSE DOCUMENTS UNCOVERED

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) recently discovered the unauthorized that private agency had been operating as an intermediary for applicants of the Board’s documents without the knowledge of the NBSE. The agency reportedly charged exorbitant fees to the applicants before sending the application forms to the Board. This practice is unacceptable as it has the potential to tarnish the good image of the Board. It also posed a risk to the applicants.

TUENSANG DPDB MEETING RESCHEDULED

The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Tuensang District, originally scheduled for August, has been postponed to August 16th, 2023, at 11:00 hours in the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall. Deputy Commissioner, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has asked all DPDB members to ensure their attendance at the rescheduled meeting.

RESTRICTED MOVEMENT ON CHANGTONGYA - DIKHU BRIDGE ROUTE

Deputy Commissioner Longleng Dharam Raj has issued a notice regarding road maintenance between Changtongya and Dikhu Bridge on Changtongya Longleng road. Effective from August 1st, 2023, and until further notice, there will be restricted movement for all types of vehicles, including Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am daily.

ROAD CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN TUENSANG AND MON RESTORED AFTER LANDSLIDE

The crucial road link between Tuensang and Mon has been successfully restored on August 2nd, 2023, by HQ Project Sewak (Border Roads Organization). The road had suffered extensive damage due to a massive landslide triggered by incessant rain near Thimlak Village at KM 18.050 on July 16th, 2023. The incident led to the collapse of the existing Bailey Bridge at the location, causing it to fall into the Aoyoung River and effectively cutting off road connectivity.

DC KOHIMA ISSUES PUBLIC NOTICE ON "NO PARKING ZONE"  

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has issued a public notice stating that in consonance with the directive of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Kohima Smart City Development Ltd is carrying out "STREETSCAPE DOCUMENTATION - video and photography documentation" within the stretch from the present NST Bus Station to Razhu point w.e.f 2nd to 4th August 2023.
