In continuation of DC office Longleng letter No. LLG/DEV-33/2009-10/308,dated LLG the 5th Nov 2019,pertaining to the protection of Amur Falcon, notice has been issued to all the concerned that "Amur Falcon is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, trapping killing and selling of Amur Falcon is a criminal offence punishable with 3(three) years rigorous imprisonment or with fine of Rs. 25000/- or both under section 51 of the said Act.

WEEK LONG CELEBRATION OF CHILD RIGHTS LAUNCHED AT KIPHIRE
Child Rights under the theme" It takes a community to protect a child" a mass poster campaign week long celebration which will be carried out in the District from 14- 20th November 2020 was launched at Deputy Commissioner Office Kiphire on 14th November 2020.
DC Kiphire Ajit Kumar Ranjan IAS, appreciated the DCPU for taking up such an initiative especially for the child and urged them to emphasise more on child nutrition and child trafficking as it is becoming a major problem.

The District Level Centre for Women- Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kohima and Nagaland State Social Welfare Board hosted an online program to celebrate Children’s Day with the special needs children of Cherry Blossoms School, Kohima on 14th November, 2020.
