Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DLCC Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shahab A IAS has notified all concerned to take up additional preventive measures to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID-19 during polling by banning of spitting and making the venue as Tobacco Free.
This notification was issued in pursuance of the directives of the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Kohima vide letter No.ELE/CDT-114 /2020 Dated 16th October 2020.

“A total of 79 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today - 23 in Kohima, 44 in Dimapur, 1 in Kiphire, 5 in Tuensang, 4 in Zunheboto and 2 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 8,515.

Basing on the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued by the respective Village Councils / Councils of P. Khel, D. Khel, L. Khel, Thizama, Pfuchama, Phesama and Kigwema, the Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A IAS has informed to all concerned that any new development along the RoW of the proposed 2-Lane Kohima - Bypass Road Project (2nd & 3rd Package) should "not" be undertaken by any individual/clan/groups/organisations.
